In Winter 2025, I started getting into electronic bass clarinet playing. I was really inspired by Christopher Mothersole and had contributed to his consortium for his Delaytudes. I finally worked up the courage (and budget) to get started, and this post is a list of the gear that I chose as a beginner electronic bass clarinetist. I chose many of these things from observing the those who came before me like Chris Mothersole, Michael Lowenstern, Boxwood Currents, and my own experimentation. Happy electrifying!
Here are links to buy the gear. Amazon links are affiliate links, so I appreciate your support!
Get to practicing! My favorite pieces to get comfy with your new gear are Delaytudes by Christopher Mothersole.
Here’s a link to my recordings of Delaytudes 1, 2, and 6.
