Woodwind Wayfinder Program
A historical, step-by-step path from first keys to first reeds
Service Description
Is your child eager to play a woodwind instrument but not quite big enough for the clarinet? The Woodwind Wayfinder is a specialized developmental program designed for young musicians (ages 5–9). Instead of waiting years to start, we follow the historical evolution of music to build a "complete musician" from day one. This journey moves through four intentional stages: Piano Foundation: Building musical literacy on the Yamaha CLP-785. The Breath (Recorder): Developing wind-based phrasing and finger agility. The First Reed (Chalumeau/Clarino): Mastering reed vibration on small, historical instruments. Modern Clarinet Mastery: A seamless transition once physically ready. What to expect in the first lesson: During the first lesson, we will assess your child’s current musical interests, hand size, and coordination to determine the best entry point in the Wayfinder path.
